The Executive Director is responsible for the overall management and direction of
the organization. They represent the organization as a whole and work closely with
the executive team to establish strategic goals, drive growth, and ensure the
organization's long-term success.

The VP Events is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing events that align with the organization’s goals. They work closely with the events team to ensure smooth operations and promote the organization’s brand through memorable and engaging experiences. The VP Events will have a natural curiosity or passion for connecting, as all Lazy Faire events are centered on networking and creating meaningful connections.

The Creative Director is the visionary of the magazine. They see the overarching style each issue is trying to develop and create a cohesive theme and creative strategy to bring that style to life. They lead the organization’s creative vision and direction, overseeing the visual and design aspects of the magazine to ensure that the content is engaging, innovative, and aligned with the organization’s brand. They provide guidance and support to the Creative Media Team and collaborate with other teams, such as editorial and marketing, to ensure a cohesive look and feel across all platforms.

The Executive Assistant provides administrative and organizational support to the executive team. They assist with scheduling, communication, and project and event coordination, ensuring that the team’s activities run smoothly and efficiently. In the absence of the Executive Director, the Executive Assistant manages the operations of the organization.

The VP External is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with external partners, including sponsors, industry partners, and other organizations. They seek opportunities for collaboration and secure resources to support the organization’s mission.

The Editor-at-Large is ½ of the magazine. They oversee the entire content creation process, ensuring that the magazine’s editorial direction aligns with the organization’s goals and values. They provide guidance and support to the editorial team, helping to maintain a consistent voice and style throughout the publication while producing engaging, relevant, and high-quality content.

The VP Operations manages the day-to-day operations of the organization, ensuring that all teams work cohesively and efficiently. They help establish and maintain operational processes, systems, and infrastructure while constantly finding ways to improve said processes. The VP Operations also oversees the overall functioning of the Finance, Events, and Marketing departments, ensuring smooth coordination and collaboration among the teams. They are responsible for developing operational strategies, managing resources, and maintaining a high level of efficiency within the magazine.

The VP Marketing leads the organization's marketing and promotional efforts. They develop and execute marketing strategies to increase brand visibility, drive engagement, and grow the organization’s audience. A natural jack of all trades, the VP Marketing has experience in all the tools necessary to create all material needed for a marketing campaign. They oversee the Marketing Directors (Visuals and Analytics) and Social Media Coordinator to ensure cohesive and targeted promotional campaigns that engage and grow the magazine’s audience.

The VP Finance oversees the organization’s financial health, including budgeting, financial reporting, and fundraising. They ensure that financial resources are allocated effectively and work closely with other executives to make informed financial decisions. Additionally, throughout the year the VP Finance continuously finds ways to increase the yearly budget. They work closely with the Accountant to ensure accurate financial records are maintained and to make informed decisions regarding the magazine’s financial health.

The Quality and DEI Coordinator examines all projects, events, and content released. Their critical eye ensures that the quality of all Lazy Faire material matches the stakeholder’s expectations. Additionally, they uphold the organization’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion by ensuring its culture, practices, and content contribute to DEI commitments. They develop and implement strategies to promote a diverse and inclusive environment for all members and stakeholders.

The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting the VP Finance in budgeting, financial planning, and reporting.

The Events Director supports the VP Events in planning and executing successful events and initiatives. They coordinate with other teams, secure necessary resources, and manage logistics to ensure events run smoothly and achieve their objectives.

The Marketing Director for Visuals oversees the magazine's visual branding, creating captivating designs and graphics that resonate with the target audience. They work closely with the VP Marketing and other team members to develop and implement visually appealing marketing campaigns.

The Marketing Director for Analytics is responsible for tracking, analyzing, and reporting on the performance of marketing campaigns. They provide valuable insights that inform marketing strategies, working closely with the VP Marketing to optimize promotional efforts.

The Social Media Coordinator manages Lazy Faire Magazine’s social media presence, creating and curating engaging content that promotes the magazine, its events, and its initiatives. They work closely with the VP Marketing and other team members to ensure a cohesive and effective social media strategy. This role has the unique opportunity to work closely with the BSA to promote their event registry by creating short video content announcing the event scheduled for the week or month.

External Team

The External Director for Sponsorships is responsible for securing financial support and in-kind donations from corporate sponsors and partners. They work closely with the Executive Director and VP External to develop and implement sponsorship strategies, identify potential sponsors, and negotiate mutually beneficial agreements that help sustain and grow Lazy Faire Magazine.

The External Director for Alumni focuses on building and maintaining connections with the magazine’s alumni network, fostering a sense of community and providing opportunities for alumni to engage with current students and the publication. They collaborate with the Executive Director and VP External to create alumni-focused events, communications, and programs that celebrate and leverage the accomplishments of past members.

The Research Editor is second in command to the Editor-at-Large and is responsible for fact-checking, verifying, and validating the accuracy of all content published in the magazine. They work closely with writers and journalists to proofread and edit content, ensuring that all articles are well-researched and supported by credible sources. The Research Editor also identifies potential topics and trends for future issues, helping to keep the magazine relevant and timely.

The Photographer captures high-quality images for use in the magazine, on the website, and in promotional materials. They work closely with the Creative Director, designers, and editorial team to create visually compelling images that enhance the magazine’s content and overall aesthetic.

The Lead Designer is responsible for creating the layout and design of the magazine, ensuring a visually appealing and easy-to-read format. They collaborate with the Creative Director, editorial team, and other designers to develop a consistent design language and style that effectively communicates the magazine’s content. It is important to note that the position of Lead Designer will rotate every issue, giving all Lazy Faire Magazine designers a chance to become the Lead Designer and spearhead the design process for at least one issue. The Multimedia Specialist/ Videographer creates engaging video content for Lazy Faire Magazine, including interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and promotional materials. They work closely with the Creative Director, editorial team, and other creatives to develop and execute high-quality video projects that enhance the magazine’s online presence and extend its reach to a wider audience.
